The design and continuity of the natural landscape inside the building.
Casa María Sotelo is the recreation of a fragment of a house from the mountains of Huaraz, reinterpreted within the urban context of Lima, alternating local materials: wooden roofs and marble floors from the central Andes, with Azurlite mirrored glass windows from Belgium; and the façade reveals a perpetual flow of sunlight, thanks to the reflective glass and the varying positions of natural light throughout each day of the year.
This building was a paradigm, a symbol in my career. I believe that at that moment, since 2000, I began my research into intercultural fusion and integration between local and global materials, harmonized by sunlight.
